2019 ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard (ACGS)

Semirara Mining and Power Corporation (SMPC) adheres to the recommended practices of the ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard (ACGS) on Rights of Shareholders, Equitable Treatment of Shareholders, Role of Stakeholders, Disclosure and Transparency, and Responsibilities of the Board. The ACGS is an assessment tool initiative of the ASEAN Capital Markets Forum (ACMF) measuring the governance practices, standing and performance among the ASEAN Publicly-Listed Companies based on publicly-available information and benchmarked against international best practices on corporate governance.

The 2019 ACGS Run assessment by the Philippines’ Securities and Exchange Commission acting its capacity as the Secretariat of the ACMF Working Group D and the Institute of Corporate Directors acting as the country’s Domestic Ranking Body recognize SMPC as one of the awardees and top companies in the region. SMPC scored 97.59 points and ranked 20th among the Top 100 PLCs according to market capitalization.
